Sadly Krusader crashes kde on one of my laptops and until I find out the reasons I'm going to have to use something else. Dolphin, the default manager in Kubuntu doesn't let you tab back and forth between panels! so it won't do. I'm going to give emelfm (what a horrible name) a try, thanks!pat tochehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04888255529035603919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8032022811235182759.post-53495438366865873402011-09-17T14:08:30.937-07:002011-09-17T14:08:30.937-07:00Yeah, commenting on an old post...

Then the old_esc_mode and navigate_with_arrows options came by. ^^Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8032022811235182759.post-5371322313882843642009-03-21T00:10:00.000-07:002009-03-21T00:10:00.000-07:00appreciate your write up on mc. i am just getting ...appreciate your write up on mc. i am just getting into using it myself.skrite dot nethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00244287338809753074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8032022811235182759.post-56939569521666666452008-12-03T05:16:00.000-08:002008-12-03T05:16:00.000-08:00esc-tab -- cool! thx John! :)esc-tab -- cool! thx John! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8032022811235182759.post-19428927572547592902008-08-31T11:19:00.000-07:002008-08-31T11:19:00.000-07:00In mc, use esc-tab, not tab,for completion. In mc, ...In mc, use esc-tab, not tab,for completion.

In mc, the CLI is a full-featured normal shell. The reason that you couldn't see the output from the CLI was that, due to normal shell scrolling, it was under the file panes. To see the shell output, you can, at any time, lower the file panes (ctrl-o). Then, use Ctrl-o when you want to raise them again.

To make sure that you see all CLI output, go to "Options" --> "Configuration" --> "Pause after run" and select Always. This keeps the file panes lowered after each command until you hit any key.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8032022811235182759.post-78412754245995398532008-08-25T17:52:00.000-07:002008-08-25T17:52:00.000-07:00Thanks, Paul. The version of emelFM I have (0.9,2) ...Thanks, Paul.

The version of emelFM I have (0.9,2) does not have Clone.
